We say two guests at La Cummare but it’s also perfect for three, when one guest is of the four-legged variety!
La Cummare is situated on the ground floor of Palazzo Santa Catarina in Gallipoli. Originally, the palace stables, we knew the space would be perfect for guest accommodation and transformed it into a delightful two room apartment.
In Gallipolino dialect, La Cummare means: “The Woman Next Door ” and refers to those neighbours who like to know everything going on in the neighbourhood. Some might call her curious, others call her a gossip!
When you stay in La Cummare, you become the woman next door, as you can sit at the french doors which open onto a quiet cobbled street and watch the day unfold and neighbours go about their daily business.
The accomodation
The accommodation features original barrel ceilings and comprises an open-plan living and kitchen area and one double bedroom with an en suite bathroom.
The fully renovated apartment guarantees complete privacy and peace and offers many modern comforts, including: air conditioning, washing machine, TV and Wi-Fi.
