Welcome to Trullo La Succulenta – The Succulent. A sublime pet-friendly villa nuzzled in beautiful countryside on the outskirts of the beguiling village of Ceglie Messapica, Valle d’Itria – on the road that leads you to San Michele Salentino.
Its name derives from the heavenly array of succulents planted in our Mediterranean courtyard garden.
Trullo La Succulenta is an oasis of tranquillity, full of rustic elegance and charm, beautifully conserved and with plenty of space inside and out for intimate family and friend groups.
We undertook a careful restoration of the villa preserving the ancient stone conical structure and deliciously cool stone interior whilst installing modern comforts that delivers the comforts you’ll appreciate during your stay.
Living & Dining
The cool and contemporary interior is impossibly good looking and fuses authentic Trulli stone walls and an exquisite stone floor.
The accommodation is divided between the origins trullo with its conical roof, an adjoining lamia – the original stone farmhouse with its gorgeous barrel ceiling and a contemporary annexe.
The living area is located in the trulli and enjoys a gorgeous view to the pool and olive and citrus groves beyond.
There is a well-equipped kitchenette with an under-counter fridge, induction hob with 2 burners, microwave, dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee machine).
Here there is also a stand-alone bathroom with a bathtub.
Sleeping Arrangements
There are two large double bedrooms with a shared bathroom in the main building and two further two double bedrooms with en suite bathroom with independent access in the Lamia; an ideal scenario for two families.
An Oasis of Tranquillity
What makes Trullo La Succulenta so unique is the lush and well-kept garden that stretches out from the spectacular salt water infinity pool.
An incredible sense of peace and tranquillity washes over you as you step out to the terrace with only the sounds of nature to distract you.
A rock garden with local and foreign succulents surrounds the terrace and pool and bows out to the citrus grove, a vineyard, and our one hectare ancient olive grove.
The terrace is furnished with sunbeds to relax on after a refreshing dip in the pool. You’ll also discover several nooks where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful environment, and a gazebo dining area with stone barbecue sets the scene for late suppers under the starry night sky.
Perfectly pet-friendly
A dry stone wall encompasses Trullo La Succulenta and a comfortable paved path leads out into the countryside, perfect for easy walks out into nature and if you are travelling with pets.
Practicalities
The grounds of Trullo La Succulenta are equipped with video surveillance and cameras.
The villa is equipped with all the comforts such as Wi-fi, air conditioning in the bedrooms, alarm system and surveillance; it is also equipped with heating and therefore perfectly usable even in the winter months.
