Welcome to Trullo Lilia, a magical pet-friendly retreat set in the idyllic countryside setting of Ceglie Messapica. We think it’s one of the most fascinating places in the Itria Valley, renowned for its love of cuisine and excellent restaurants.
The traditional stone trulli was completely renovated and restored by the owners who combined their love of Puglia, with their passion for art and fashion. The result is this incredibly stylish accommodation that every guest falls head of heels in love with.
From the minute you drive through the gates, the creativity and sleek finish of the villa instantly captures your attention.
Nestled in a hectare estate of olive groves, fruit trees, and an enchanting garden. Trullo Lilia is the perfect choice for a luxury and completely relaxing stay under the Puglian sun.
The story behind Trullo Lilia
When we started to rent the villa, the estate was unfenced. A lovely family with their two children came to stay and one fine day, they encountered a stray dog wandering the estate.
The family and the dog became firm friends and when the day came to leave Trullo Lilia, the children didn’t want to leave without their new found four-legged companion. Sadly, their father was allergic to pet hair, so they had to leave him behind.
But the story doesn’t end there. A few weeks later, new guests arrived and found the dog, who by this time was used to playing with children. They too fell in love with Trullo Lilia’s adopted dog and they straight away organised the adoption of the dog, who is now called Totó the Tramp.
When they heard that the children had also fallen in love, they set up an Instagram Page so that they could follow his move from Puglia to Munich!

The Accommodation
Behind the beautiful stonework of the Trulli, guests will find all of the modern comforts and conveniences, and an intricate aesthetic design styled with elegance and grace.
The accommodation sleeps up to five adults, or four adults and two children and comprises two independent dwellings:
There are two Trulli which make up the main part of the accommodation and a more recent Lamia suite offers extra sleeping space and means two couples or teenagers can enjoy privacy when needed.
Trulli Accommodation
Inside the Trulli there is a large double room which features an ultra comfortable king-size canopy bed fitted with hotel quality linen and bedding as well as an elegant bathtub carved in marble by a local craftsman.
A spacious living area in the second trulli is furnished with a comfortable sofa bed (120 cm) which can sleep one adult or two children; there is also a fully equipped modern kitchen, a dining alcove, and an immaculate family bathroom.

La Lamia Accommodation
The Lamia is a separate suite with its own private entrance. A beautiful soft double bed faces patio doors to the terrace, and there is a bathroom with a tiled open shower and relaxing chromotherapy lighting.
The Garden
Trullo Lilia is encompassed by a far-reaching landscaped garden abundant with olive and fruit trees.
The pristine private salt water swimming pool l is the centrepiece of the gardens and the perfect spot to relax with just the sounds of waterl and nature as a background.
The outdoor gazebo is furnished with a comfortable sofa and dining table where you can experience a true Italian meal. A barbecue is also to hand so that you can cook up a feast during your stay.
Practicalities
Trullo Lilia is equipped with a host of modern comforts, such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning in all rooms, an alarm and surveillance system and it is also equipped with heating, perfect for autumn-winter stays.
There is a video surveillance system (theft protection and cameras on the outdoor areas). The garden is fenced for your pets safety
