VALENTINA'S BIO
In the beginning…
I was born and grew up in Bologna where I studied marketing and economics before travelling and working throughout Italy and Europe.
I met my husband Stefano and we settled in Milan with our three children, Leonardo, Caterina and Beatrice.
Gallipoli: a place to love and fall in love
It was Stefano who first introduced me to Puglia. He was born in Gioia del colle, Bari, and spent his childhood and teenage years holidaying in Puglia, enjoying his summer holidays on Gallipoli’s Lido (Beach) San Giovanni.
How lucky was he!
Back then, Gallipoli was a destination only enjoyed by locals and a smattering of northern Italians who came to enjoy the beautiful beaches and crystalline sea.
Although we both lived in Milan when we met, our story is full of memories and adventures in Puglia.
Our first dinner together was in La Grotta Palazzese restaurant in Polignano a mare; Stefano proposed to me in a trullo in Martina Franca, and we got married in Monopoli, in a small church overlooking the sea and surrounded by olive trees.
These days of course, we welcome visitors from all over the world. But that doesn’t mean that Gallipoli has been spoiled; it’s still a wonderfully authentic destination to enjoy an Italian beach holiday, combined with the charm of its historic old town, where our properties are located.
Le Case di Valentina: following my passion to create the brand
Stefano and I started with buying our own holiday home in Gallipoli: the first property we bought is Mare, mare, mare where we still spend our family holidays.
As soon as I fell in love with Puglia, I knew that I wanted more than just a couple of weeks holiday here. I wanted to build a business from which I could share my passion for Puglia with guests from around the world.
I threw everything into launching Le Case di Valentina; giving up my life career to fully immerse myself into becoming a host.
I have never looked back.
Our portfolio now features Puglia holiday homes in Gallipoli on the coast and authentic Trulli homes in the idyllic countryside location of Valle d’Itria.
The business has grown to become a fusion of our own homes and others that we manage for owners who share our passion for the beauty and tradition of Puglia.
The region is now at the heart of my work and my family. I have thrown myself into Le Case di Valentina and sharing our beautiful homes and places with my wonderful guests.
